An RE8 crew relieved to have landed safely after another close call while on an artillery-spotting sortie. The RE8, popularly known as the 'Harry Tate' (a rhyming slang reference to a well known music hall comedian), was designed for reconnaissance duties and often used in this particularly hazardous role, and these airmen realise how fortunate they have been to have got home in their damaged aeroplane.
