During the closing stages of the 1965 Le Mans 24-hour race, the leading Ecurie Francorchamps Ferrari 250LM of Dumay and Gosselin suffered a blown tyre, losing the lead to the Rindt/Gregory Ferrari 250LM as they pit for repairs, but rejoining to take second.
